Artist's Comments

MMMmmm tentacles :)

This originally started out as a test to try out my new Micron pens, I have never used them before and I figured so many other artist use them, I’ll give it a try. Well they work great, I highly recommend them :) I also used bristle paper, instead of ‘other’ thinner paper.

The Name Eris, my girlfriend Joanne named this one after I finished it, She liked the stars in the backgound and thought Eris was a cool name, because Eris a large dwarf planet. And figured it fit. Little did I know Eris is also the Greek Goddess of Strife and War........neat....

Pointillism 8.5/11 Bristle paper, with Micron pens 0.20 and 0.35

Enjoy in full view please :D

EDIT: I chopped the top black off, but only on the computer.

love it- love the swirls on her skin, and the patterns in her hair.

I may have to look into micro pens, as it is difficult to make light "shading" with fine and extra fine pens

Thanks man, that hair took forever, :)
What do you think of the black background it was my first time doing all black, and I'm still unsure of it.

hmm. i dont know about those dots, but i think looks pretty good. it brings the head in to the foreground and gives of a good contrast (which is the more important one)

on the other hand, you probably spent 3 hours making it black dot at the time. which is a form of artistic torture i tend not to participate. :D

Thanks, and it was actually about 5 total hours on just the black, being pointillism and all. There may be just too much black on the top with not much going on. Thanks for the input, it always helps :)

This is crazy amazing, how long did the whole drawing take?
Also, I am a tremendous fan of micron pens. Good choice. =]
